Content Search

In addition to searching documents based on metadata and indexing fields, File-Eazy offers the capability to search for documents based on the content within the document itself. To utilize this feature, you will need to perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR) manually on the documents. To know how to OCR a document in File-Eazy, click hereā€¦(Link will be added later)

OCR is a process that converts scanned or image-based documents into searchable and editable text. Once OCR is performed on the document, File-Eazy can access the text content within the document.

By using the Content search option, you can search for specific keywords or phrases within the text content of the document. This allows you to locate documents based on the actual textual information contained within them, rather than just relying on metadata or indexing fields.

When you perform a Content search in File-Eazy, the system will not only retrieve documents where the keyword or phrase is found but also highlight the searched keyword within the document itself. This visual indication makes it easier for you to locate and navigate to the specific part of the document containing the desired information.

By combining OCR technology, text indexing, and highlighting of searched keywords, File-Eazy provides a comprehensive solution for searching and retrieving documents based on their textual content.
